  1. n. In biology, the outermost recognizable structure of a cell; a cell-wall, in any way distinguished from mesoblast or other more interior structures. The ectoblast is to a cell what the epiblast is to a more complex organism.

  1. adj. Tapering at each end; spindle-shaped.

Lavabo

  1. n. The ceremonial washing of the hands and recitation from the Psalms by the celebrant before the Eucharist in the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches.

  1. n. A member of the Zoroastrian priestly caste of the Medes and Persians.
  2. n. In the New Testament, one of the wise men from the East, traditionally held to be three, who traveled to Bethlehem to pay homage to the infant Jesus.
  3. n. A sorcerer; a magician.

Belie

v. To give a false representation to; misrepresent

Ascus

n. A membranous, often club-shaped structure in which typically eight ascospores are formed through sexual reproduction of ascomycetes.

  1. n. One who versifies; one who makes verses; a poet.
